This piece of commentary strikes an accord with some of us here at the office. It makes one think.
This editor has experienced areas of the world where one did not treat it as a photo stop, but this was before the mass imaging capabilities we see today, where restraint is less noticeable.
I can also parallel the story about the food prepared in Italy. I recall, in 2016, out with a French friend in Paris. We found a eatery that looked the part, descended stairs to what imagined was the remnants of a medieval cellar (it was on a short distance from Notre Dame). After a delicious French cuisine meal w left and as we went by the open kitchen door noted that the head chef was Indian by nationality 🙂
