Good news for anyone heading to PNG – Papua New Guinea

Just weeks after hosting what was arguably the country’s biggest ever event – APEC 2018 – Papua New Guinea has unveiled a new web-based visa process for PNG-bound travellers.

Announced by the Papua New Guinea Immigration & Citizenship Authority, the new electronic visa application portal allows applicants to submit a visa application through the website.

Among the visas to be made available online, is the 30-day Tourist Visa.

Other visas now on offer online are:

Tourist 60 day (easy visitor permit 60) – Available for tourists to PNG from nationalities who currently have access to Visa on Arrival
Short Term Business visa – Business people who currently have access to Visa on Arrival
Aid Worker Volunteer visa and Journalist visa
Australian and New Zealand travellers can still apply also for a tourist visa on arrival.

Last month, the PNG Tourism Promotion Authority also officially launched its new-look website.
