Chengdu can feature on many travel itineraries. Those that are interesting in the Panda breeding centre then this is the main area in China for this study.
You can join the incredible high altitude train route up to Lhasa in Tibet (autonomous zone requiring special permit). From Lhasa you can continue overland via Mt Everest to Kathmandu!
Or, you can join small special interest tour groups that travel through remote Tibetan tribal areas (extra permit not required) over 5,000m passes to the province of Kunming. Ask us about any of these programmes.
